The American of Spanish descent defeated the young Swiss Jerome Kym. Martin Landaluce was tired and could not beat Kamil.
The Professional Tournament organized by the Juan Carlos Ferrero Tennis Academy is in its final stretch. This Saturday, the semifinals have been played with good Spanish representation and a very good level of tennis. The first match was played by the Swiss Jerome Kym and the American Nicolás Moreno de Alborán. Both were showing a great level. The Swiss reached the semifinals without dropping a set. Nico, on the other hand, had just defeated the reigning champion of the tournament Constant Lestienne. The American, who also has Spanish nationality and represented Spain as a junior, started the match with a lot of rhythm. He broke in his first game and did not let the set slip away: 6/3. Despite the start, Jerome was at a good level, and did not lower it in a second set in which he dominated with great clarity and ease: 6/1 and the match would be decided in the third set. The third set began more evenly matched than the previous ones. However, Moreno de Alboran had the public and more experience. A single break ball that knew how to convert perfectly, allowed him to distance himself on the scoreboard and take the match: 6/3 1/6 6/2.

The Polish, who was ranked as high as 75th in the ATP and is guaranteed to be at least 131st in the ranking this Monday, defeated in two sets the young Spanish promise Martin Landaluce. Martin can be proud of the great tournament he had. Very high level and victories of great merit against several players among the top 150 players in the world. However, today he was clearly tired and without as much spark as in the previous matches, all of them long and with a lot of tension as he had to come back from behind in all of them. In fact he had to be treated by the physio. Even so he tried until the end and saved several match balls that allowed the crowd to dream of another comeback and epic. They gave him no option: Kamil did not give any of the break balls against, and took advantage of almost all he had to win by 6/3 6/4.
In the doubles final, Spaniard Iñigo Cervantes and his partner Romain Arneodo lost to Chandrasekar and Kaliyanda. The Indian duo took advantage of their great effectiveness on serve, with 84% of first serves won, to win the doubles title of the Alicante Ferrero Challenger by 7/6 (2) 6/4.
