A Great Week of Tennis at the Ferrero Tennis Academy with the MT200 Senior

From April 26 to May 3, the Ferrero Tennis Academy hosted an intense week of competition with the ITF MT200 Senior International Tournament. Once again, the event brought together top-level players in a competitive atmosphere marked by friendship and a passion for tennis.

This edition was particularly significant, as it saw the highest participation to date, solidifying the tournament’s growth within the international senior circuit.

In the +30 singles category, Antonio Barceló claimed the title after a stellar performance. In +30 doubles, the pair of Nasser Tawfik and Juan Pablo Maldonado were crowned champions following a hard-fought final. Tawfik also had an outstanding week, winning the +35 singles title by defeating Maldonado in the final.

The other categories also provided memorable moments: Jordi Melero claimed victory in the +40 division, while Óscar Gonzálvez took the title in the +45 division after a solid final. In the +50 division, Jorge Cerdá was the champion, and in the +55 division, Benjamín Sánchez reached the final.

In the older age categories, the competitive level remained very high. Juan Sebastián took the title in the +60 division, Vicente Vidal in the +65, and Camilo Enrique Verdú and Ignacio Manuel José Gómez prevailed in the +70 and +75 divisions, respectively.

The tournament was already recognized last year with an award thanks to its excellent organization. Furthermore, the growth in the number of participants and the level of play on the court encourage us to look to the future with greater ambition, with the goal of moving the tournament up a category in future editions.
